いよいよ７月７日（火）、七夕の夜に、わたしたちの特別な年を祝う「ヒノエウマ女子の夏祭り」を開催します。迷信を乗り超えて生まれ、つよくあかるくたくましく生きてきた私たちヒノエウマ女子。シアトルエリアにどれだけ仲間がいるのかわかりませんが、この 60年に一度の特別な年に、ぜひぜひ一緒に集まり、語り、笑い、そして私たちの成長（還暦！）を祝いましょう。このイベントは、ヒノエウマ女子によるヒノエウマ女子のためのコミュニティイベントです。私たちの願いは、この特別な年をできるだけ多くのヒノエウマ女子のみなさんとつながることです。当初＄60としていた参加費も金額を自由に変更しました。どうぞご無理のない範囲で、ご自身が心地よいと思う金額でご参加ください。

The wait is almost over!
On Tuesday, July 7, we will be hosting the Fire Horse Ladies’ Summer Party to celebrate our special year.
We don’t know how many fellow Fire Horse Ladies are here in the Seattle area, but this once-in-60-years year is too special not to celebrate together.
Let’s gather, talk, laugh, and celebrate our growth — yes, our 60th birthday milestone!
Because we want to connect with as many Fire Horse Ladies as possible, we have changed the admission from the original $60 to Pay What You Wish.
Most of all, we would love for you to join us and celebrate this special Tanabata night together.

A beautiful 15th-floor lounge space near Bellevue Square. Paid parking is available in the underground garage. 会場はベルビュースクエアーすぐそばの眺めの良いラウンジをレンタルしました。パーキングは有料になります。

Enjoy festive bites, including Japanese favorites such as karaage and chirashi sushi, along with free-flow drinks. Guests will receive commemorative Fire Horse gifts. Limited-edition T-shirts and other original goods will also be available for purchase. 唐揚げやちらし寿司など、心をこめた和の軽食などとフリードリンクをご用意します。ご参加いただいたみなさまに、オレンジ色の扇子やオリジナルステッカーなどもプレゼント。また、オリジナルTシャツやその他のヒノエウマグッズの販売も予定しています。

This summer, we’re bringing the celebration to the Seattle area,
inspired by Tanabata (七夕 ), Japan’s star festival.

Fire Horse Ladies born in 1966
This bilingual Japanese-English celebration welcomes Fire Horse Ladies from all backgrounds. If you identify as a Fire Horse based on the traditional lunar calendar or the Start of Spring (Risshun) calendar system, you are warmly welcome to join us as well. Please register now! 
1966年（昭和41年）生まれの女子のみなさんなら国籍を問わずご参加いただけます。日英バイリンガルで開催します。また、旧暦や立春（節分明け）を基準にご自身をヒノエウマと認識されている方も歓迎します。<NEW>ヒノエウマのお母さまをお持ちだった方にもぜひご参加いただきお話をうかがいたいです。今年生まれたヒノエウマベイビーもぜひご参加ください！

Why This Matters

In Japan, women born in the Fire Horse year were long burdened by harmful superstition, and the 1966 the number of births dropped by nearly 25%. Many families avoided having children that year because people believed that a girl born in the Fire Horse year would “devour” men or bring misfortune to her family.

But now, we are reclaiming the story through our movement: Celebrate in Orange 2026.
This is more than just a party.
Our goal is to change how this history is remembered.
We want the world to remember that the Fire Horse women born in 1966 were the generation that shattered the superstition—and transformed the once-feared Fire Horse Year into a joyful celebration, proudly glowing in Fire Horse Orange.
At the end of 2026, we plan to share our message with the world through the “Fire Horse Ladies Declaration” — so future generations will inherit pride, not stigma.

かつてヒノエウマ女子は、「気が強い」「男を食い殺す」など、理不尽な迷信にさらされてきました。私たちが生まれた1966年には、その影響で出生数が約25％も減少しました。
でも、バイバイ、迷信！もう終わりにします。
ヒノエウマは、恐れる年ではなく、祝う年に生まれ変わります。

私たちは今、「Celebrate in Orange 2026」として、ヒノエウマイヤーを世界中でオレンジ色に祝う、新しい文化づくりに挑んでいます。
「1966年生まれのヒノエウマ女子たちが、迷信を吹き飛ばし、60年に一度の特別な年を、ヒノエウマオレンジで世界中が祝う年へと変えた」
そんな新しい伝説を、本気で残したいのです。
そして2026年の終わりには、その想いを込めた「ヒノエウマ女子宣言」を世界へ発信し、未来に届けたいと思います。
「生まれてこないほうがいい」と言われた私たちが、未来のヒノエウマたちに、「誇り」を残します。

60年ぶりの特別な年。
笑い、語り合い、祝いましょう。
